About the position

The Hadoop Engineer will be responsible for enhancing the capabilities of the Hadoop platform, testing new features, and assisting customers in resolving issues during their setup. This role also involves creating user documentation and training materials, optimizing code, and planning user program migrations to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Build out capabilities for the Hadoop platform.
• Test new capabilities for the Hadoop platform.
• Work with customers to resolve issues during setup.
• Create user documentation and training materials.
• Optimize code as connections and conditions change.
• Plan and execute user program migration.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Apache Impala.
• Experience with Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of Bash, Python, and C/C++.
• Ability to create end user training manuals.
• Experience in end user training.
• Familiarity with Hadoop Cloudera.
• Understanding of Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Experience with PySpark.
