About the position

EM Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Hand Solder Technician to join their team in San Jose, CA. The role involves soldering components to printed circuit boards and performing quality assurance checks on the finished products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of soldering techniques and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the company's commitment to high-quality electronic manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Assemble and solder components to circuit boards and other electronic assemblies.
• Inspect and test soldered connections for accuracy and quality.
• Perform rework on soldered connections as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety protocols when handling hazardous materials.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in high volume soldering in a manufacturing setting.
• Certification in soldering and electronics assembly.
• Knowledge of electronic components and their functionalities.
• Experience with soldering fine-pitch components and surface mount technology (SMT) rework.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with specialized soldering equipment (e.g., hot air rework stations, soldering irons, etc.).
• Mandarin or Vietnamese language skills are preferred.
• English language skills are a plus.
