About the position
The Handler Warehouse position is a part-time role focused on the efficient movement of packages, documents, and supplies within a warehouse environment. The role emphasizes safety and effective handling methods, ensuring timely support without the need for driving on public roadways. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Provide movement of packages, documents, and dangerous goods in a timely and safe manner.
- Utilize effective scan/load methods for package handling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Ability to walk and stand for designated work hours.
- Ability to bend, squat, and maneuver packages in enclosed spaces.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions if required.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders if required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.
