About the position

The Director of Engineering will lead all aspects of Cloud Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with a focus on the Azure cloud platform and cloud-native tooling. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and impactful initiatives within the organization, fostering a collaborative and family-like atmosphere among team members.

Responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of Cloud Engineering & SRE focusing on Azure cloud platform.
• Champion a culture of innovation within the engineering team.
• Lead cloud architecture and strategy initiatives.
• Oversee team leadership and development activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
• Engage in hands-on technical work related to cloud solutions.
• Manage daily operations and team collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a leadership and management position.
• Mastery of cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and cloud-native tooling.
• Deep understanding of systems architecture and cloud network concepts.
• Expertise in cloud security best practices.
• Experience with ITIL4-centric incident management processes.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and resiliency patterns.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Relevant industry certifications.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
