Handyman/Maintenance Technician

About the position

The Handyman/Maintenance Technician position at Trustar involves performing various maintenance tasks for residential and commercial buildings. The role requires a reliable individual with at least one year of experience in maintenance, plumbing, and basic electrical work. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of properties, responding to emergency maintenance requests, and traveling between job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets.
• Conduct basic electrical work including wiring fans, replacing receptacles, and wiring stoves.
• Execute painting and patching tasks using roll and spray techniques.
• Diagnose and repair appliances including washers, dryers, stoves, and refrigerators.
• Handle remediation and clean-up tasks as required.
• Manage haul-offs and disposal of materials.
• Install and repair door frames, including hanging, sanding, and painting.
• Replace windows and screens as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with up-to-date registration and insurance.
• At least 1 year of full-time maintenance experience in residential and/or commercial buildings.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to provide references upon request.
• Willingness to accept emergency hours and alternate shifts with other technicians.
• Ability to pass a drug and background test.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with appliance diagnostics and repairs.
• Familiarity with remediation and clean-up processes.
