About the position
We are seeking a skilled handyman/residential contractor to join our team in the Raleigh market. This position involves performing various general repairs and maintenance tasks for single-family rental properties, with a focus on flexibility and efficiency. The contractor will be responsible for completing small jobs that include interior and exterior repairs, light plumbing, light electrical work, carpentry, drywall, painting, and fence work. Compensation is based on an agreed rate per job, with a starting pay of $30/hr or more.
Responsibilities
- Perform general interior and exterior repairs on residential properties.
- Conduct light plumbing and electrical work as needed.
- Carry out carpentry tasks, including drywall installation and repair.
- Paint and maintain the aesthetic quality of properties.
- Complete fence work and other outdoor repairs.
- Travel throughout the Raleigh market to service calls.
- Utilize an app to accept job orders and document work with before and after photos.
Requirements
- Must have all necessary tools for the job.
- Must possess a ladder for various tasks.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
- Must have a clean background and be able to pass a background check.
- Must be willing to accept a 1099 position.
