About the position
The Part-Time Handyman position at GPS Renting involves performing various maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, plumbing, and electrical work at different properties. This role is essential for ensuring properties are well-maintained and provides an opportunity to grow within a fast-expanding real estate management company.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including light carpentry, drywall, and patchwork.
- Handle minor plumbing tasks such as unclogging sinks, fixing leaks, and replacing faucets.
- Conduct minor electrical work including replacing light fixtures, outlets, fans, and switches.
- Perform interior and exterior painting and drywall repairs, including surface preparation and cleanup.
- Conduct general property upkeep and report any major repair needs to management.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within the designated timeframe.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
- Proficiency in painting, minor plumbing, and minor electrical work.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends if needed.
- Basic house maintenance knowledge and ability to troubleshoot small house issues.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AppFolio is a plus.
- Smart Phone, Apple or Android (phone must be no older than 4-5 years to support mobile app).
- Home internet.
- Fuel-efficient vehicle (required to use own vehicle).
