About the position
The Hannaford To Go Service Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Hannaford To Go department, ensuring efficient service and exceptional customer experiences. This role involves leading a team of Expeditors and Shoppers, providing hands-on support, and maintaining high standards of service excellence, safety, and sanitation. The Service Leader acts as a role model for associates and is tasked with training, communication, and operational oversight in the absence of the department supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Hannaford To Go Department operations in accordance with established department standard practices.
- Support excellent customer service and goodwill by role modeling high standards in customer service and sales building.
- Ensure department conditions involving appearance, safety, sanitation, and food safety are maintained at the highest level.
- Use good judgement in the delegation, assignment, and follow up required for the efficient performance of the department.
- Provide real-time teaching on Shopping or Expediting process issues.
- Report any issues or concerns relative to associate performance or behavior to the Assistant Store Manager.
- Assist in training and developing associates to meet department needs.
- Maintain solid communication in the department and with store management.
- Observe and follow all company policies, established standard practices, and legal requirements.
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.
- A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Retail customer service experience preferred.
- Understanding of store operations preferred.
- Ability to lead and direct others.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
