About the position

As a Restaurant General Manager with Boddie-Noell Enterprises, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing the restaurant team while ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and motivate team members through positive and respectful leadership, striving to exceed company standards in service to guests, food quality, food safety, and cleanliness. In this role, you will be accountable for sales growth and will work closely with your team to resolve guest complaints, maintain product quality, and address any issues that arise. You will be responsible for interviewing and hiring qualified staff, scheduling sufficient personnel to operate the restaurant, managing labor costs, and training both the management team and crew members. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining a cooperative and harmonious working relationship with your team, providing coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed. You will also conduct meetings to discuss operational procedures, promotions, safety, and training, ensuring that all staff are aligned with the company's goals and standards. Additionally, you will maintain adequate supplies, control inventory, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Your role will also involve maintaining the building and equipment, adhering to cash procedures, and ensuring a safe and compliant environment for all employees and guests. You will represent Boddie-Noell Enterprises professionally in every aspect of your performance, consistently exhibiting actions and behaviors that align with the company's vision and values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and lead the restaurant team.
  • Accountable for sales growth by maintaining high standards in quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Interview and hire qualified staff based on company standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Schedule sufficient staff to operate the restaurant and accommodate guest flow.
  • Manage labor costs to meet company standards.
  • Train the management team and crew using the current training system.
  • Evaluate performance at designated intervals and design development plans for employees.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with the management team and crew.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and discipline as warranted.
  • Assist with crew member duties as needed.
  • Conduct crew and management team meetings to discuss operations, promotions, safety, and training.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of all products necessary to operate the restaurant.
  • Control inventory to meet company Food Cost Variance standards.
  • Maintain reports and records in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain building and equipment using proper operating and cleaning procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to cash procedures and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Recognize and adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must meet physical demands required of the role.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager.
  • Good references available.
  • Available to work all shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Strong conflict-resolution skills.
  • Solid organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to balance hands-on work with effective delegation skills.
