About the position
The Hardscape Crew Leader at BrightView Landscapes is responsible for overseeing landscape installation projects, ensuring efficiency and adherence to client standards. This role involves conducting site inspections, providing hands-on leadership, and guiding team members in various landscaping tasks, including soil management, planting, and pest control. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a crew effectively while maintaining safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections to ensure efficiency and client standards are met.
- Provide hands-on leadership and guidance for soil, planting, watering, and insect control.
- Drive and maintain company vehicles.
- Train personnel with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Handle schedules and review charts and reports.
Requirements
- 2+ years of landscape installation experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing a crew of 2 or more individuals.
- At least 1 year of experience in lawn care and landscaping.
- Supervisory experience is desired.
Nice-to-haves
- Valid driver's license with a good record.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Familiarity with landscaping techniques and equipment.
- Experience running equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and backhoes.
- Ability to read architectural drawings.
