About the position

The Hardware Automation Engineer will focus on developing and maintaining hardware systems with a strong emphasis on storage solutions, particularly RAID configurations. This role requires a blend of software and hardware expertise, particularly in Linux environments, and involves working collaboratively across teams to ensure system resilience and maintainability. The engineer will also be responsible for writing and debugging Go code, contributing to technical documentation, and adapting to an asynchronous hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain hardware systems with a focus on RAID configurations.
• Configure and manage Linux storage solutions using USB, SATA, and PCIe.
• Design resilient and maintainable hardware systems.
• Perform maintenance on rack-mounted servers.
• Read, write, and debug Go code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project execution.
• Write technical documentation in English.
• Adapt to an asynchronous hybrid work environment.

Requirements

• Strong software experience with some hardware experience.
• Experience with Linux RAID configurations using mdadm.
• Experience with storage on Linux via USB, SATA, PCIe, etc.
• Experience designing resilient, maintainable hardware systems.
• Experience working with rack-mounted servers.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and debugging Go code.
• Familiarity with Shell and Git.
• Understanding of Continuous Integration systems and concepts, ideally Github Actions.
• Experience with configuration management, live image, PXE boot, and Ubuntu.
