About the position

The Hardware Configuration Manager at ICR, Inc. is responsible for applying, executing, and enforcing hardware configuration management techniques across all hardware programs. This role involves reviewing engineering documentation, maintaining inventory management tools, and providing system administration support for configuration management tools, specifically Solidworks PDM. The position requires collaboration with various engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-technical review of all documents submitted for initial release or update in Solidworks PDM.
  • Conduct release functions including archiving previous revisions after approval from designated signoff teams.
  • Manage user accounts and provide training for new users in Solidworks PDM.
  • Create and manage new program repositories and improve workflows in the configuration management tool.
  • Ensure all corresponding part numbers and BOMs exist in the inventory management tool and update as necessary.
  • Support material planners and procurement by creating part numbers on purchase requisitions that do not exist in the IM tool.
  • Update the IM tool to ensure data synchronization with Solidworks PDM as documentation changes.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience with Solidworks PDM as a system administrator.
  • Ability to navigate and extract data from engineering drawings and bills of materials.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; US Citizenship is required.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing best practices.
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and reformatting.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate and support teams both locally and remotely.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, custom electronics manufacturing environment.
