About the position

The Hardware Department Manager at Cascade Farm and Outdoor is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing the hardware department. This role involves engaging with customers, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring a well-stocked and organized department. The manager will work closely with store management to foster teamwork and a positive work environment, contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and friendly service to customers.
• Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure sales clerks receive required breaks.
• Work closely with store management to build teamwork and pride of ownership.
• Replenish inventory and maintain department fixtures.
• Train new employees on department responsibilities.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in retail positions such as cashier, sales associate, or similar roles.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive and friendly attitude with punctuality.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Problem-solving skills to assist customers effectively.
• Capacity to engage with a diverse range of individuals.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons.
