About the position

The Hardware Department Manager at Cascade Farm & Outdoor is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing the hardware department. This role involves engaging with customers, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring a well-stocked and organized department. The manager will work closely with the store team to foster a positive shopping experience and promote teamwork within the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and friendly service to customers.
• Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure sales clerks receive all required breaks.
• Work closely with store management to build teamwork and pride of ownership.
• Replenish inventory and maintain department fixtures in a clean and well-stocked condition.
• Assist in training new employees on department responsibilities.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in retail positions such as cashier, sales associate, or similar roles.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive and friendly attitude with punctuality.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Problem-solving skills to offer solutions to customers.
• Capacity to engage with a diverse range of individuals and provide excellent customer service.
• Strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons.
