The Hardware team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of product development, from concept creation to end-of-life support. As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in this process, particularly in system design, factory bring-up, and test/validation cycles. Your primary focus will be on designing future products by selecting appropriate architectures, conducting electrical design, and validating your work. You will lead a team of electrical engineers to develop products that incorporate RF, sensors, and other specialized components. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software, product design, industrial design, program management, operations, and finance, is essential to ensure the successful delivery of products to market. In this role, you will validate your designs through functional verification, signal characterization, power modeling/testing, and system coexistence testing. You will also be responsible for bringing your designs to mass production by setting factory test requirements and assisting in software bring-up. This may involve traveling on-site to manufacturers to ensure that designs are built and tested successfully. Additionally, you will work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to establish mutually beneficial relationships for future product designs, ensuring that the hardware team is well-prepared for upcoming projects.
