The Hardware Design Engineer 5 position is a critical role within our engineering team, focusing on power analysis and testing for silicon components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in power engineering, specifically with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Silicon Power Testing. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of System on Chip (SoC) or system-level power analysis, as well as hands-on experience with lab equipment and power measurement techniques. The candidate will be responsible for executing test cases for various devices, including servers, mobile devices, and custom hardware, ensuring that power-performance architecture and trade-offs are well understood and documented. In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent collaborative and organizational skills, with a strong emphasis on both written and verbal communication. The role also demands innovative and critical thinking abilities, particularly in troubleshooting and debugging post-silicon issues. Familiarity with machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads is preferred, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to contribute to the team's objectives. Experience with test automation will be an added advantage, allowing for more efficient testing processes. This position is based in Mountain View, California, and is offered as a contract role. The work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured work environment conducive to productivity and collaboration. The compensation for this role ranges from $87.77 to $97.77 per hour, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
