This position is based onsite in Morrisville, NC, providing an opportunity to work closely with a team of engineers in a collaborative environment. As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be tasked with designing and developing hardware schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring that all designs are optimized for performance and manufacturability. You will perform hardware debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the development process. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside software and firmware engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. Additionally, you will conduct design reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve hardware designs and maintain detailed documentation for all hardware designs and processes, ensuring that all information is accurate and accessible for future reference.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hardware schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Perform hardware debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to ensure seamless integrations of hardware and software components.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve hardware designs.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for hardware designs and processes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years' experience in hardware design, including schematic design and PCB layout.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with hardware design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD or similar.
  • Familiarity with FPGA design and programming.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
