About the position

The Hardware Design Engineer at S2S Soft is responsible for designing and developing complex hardware solutions, focusing on both digital and analog circuit design. This role requires extensive experience in microcontroller and microprocessor-based designs, as well as a strong understanding of communication interfaces and signal integrity. The engineer will work on-site in Lake Forest, California, and will be expected to contribute to the development of robust and scalable hardware solutions tailored to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microcontroller/microprocessor-based circuits.
• Create board-level digital and analog circuit designs.
• Implement wired communication interfaces such as Ethernet and USB.
• Ensure design integrity through knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity.
• Apply design principles for EMC, safety, and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in hardware design.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with microcontroller/microprocessor-based circuit design.
• Proficiency in board-level digital and analog circuit design.
• Knowledge of wired communication interfaces like Ethernet and USB.
• Extensive knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep understanding of wireless communication interfaces including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
• Experience in medical device development under 21 CFR Part 820.
• Familiarity with CPLD/FPGA/ASIC development using Verilog or VHDL.
• Experience with PCBA layout using tools like Allegro or Altium.
