As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design, and development of both conventional analog and digital circuits. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting moderate to complex design reviews to ensure the robustness of products and circuits. You will be tasked with developing hardware specifications and preparing system-level specifications that guide the design process. Writing and analyzing test plans will be a key part of your role, as you execute tests and evaluate results to support peer design reviews and maintain project notebooks. In addition to these technical responsibilities, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining comprehensive product documentation, which includes data sheets, instruction manuals, project notebooks, and design and test documentation. You will also provide and maintain accurate project plans, ensuring that all engineering activities are well-coordinated with purchasing and manufacturing departments. As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will manage and/or lead hardware projects of moderate complexity, mentoring and directing the efforts of associate engineers and technicians to foster a collaborative and productive work environment. This position is located in Pullman, WA, at SEL's corporate office, where you will enjoy a high quality of life in a smaller town setting.
