As an experienced Electronics Design Engineer at Magna Powertrain, you will play a crucial role in the electronics design and development of traction inverters for electric vehicles. This position involves a comprehensive understanding of hardware design, including the selection and integration of various hardware components such as MOSFETs, gate driver ICs, sensors, and filters. You will be expected to utilize simulation tools like MATLAB, Simetrix, LTSpice, and Ansys to support your design efforts. Your hands-on experience with basic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power meters, and electronic loads, will be essential in validating your designs. In addition to hardware design, you will be responsible for creating schematics using Altium or similar software, and you should have a good understanding of PCB design reviews and component engineering for Bill of Materials (BOM) management. Familiarity with the hardware requirement engineering process is also important, as is experience with requirement engineering tools such as DOORS or PTC. You will manage communication and alignment with all stakeholders involved in the project, ensuring that the integration of system components into the overall inverter hardware is seamless and efficient.
