About the position

The Hardware Development Engineer Summer Internship at Amazon is a full-time position designed for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Interns will work closely with experienced engineers on innovative consumer product projects, gaining hands-on experience in the design, validation, and optimization of hardware products. This internship provides an opportunity to engage in the complete design lifecycle and support engineering builds in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform schematic design.
• Validate hardware and debug issues.
• Develop automated test tools (LabVIEW, HPVEE).
• Travel to support engineering builds.

Requirements

• Experience in analog and digital skills with embedded systems.
• Experience in embedded systems projects.
• Knowledge of schematic design and debug skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a maximum of 12 weeks for the internship.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent, with an expected graduation date between October 2025 - December 2028.
