Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Hardware Engineer to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting or participating in the research, design, development, and testing of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or custom computing hardware and other electrical components. You will develop designs for the installation of these components and assemblies into various environments, including chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and shelters. Your work will directly support the operations of the Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) mission, which is critical to our national security and defense initiatives. As an Early Career Hardware Engineer, you will plan, direct, review, and coordinate the preparation of project documentation to ensure that both customer contract and company requirements are met. You will also be tasked with providing real-time resolution of problems to minimize system downtime. This involves monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, restoring outages, performing maintenance, and tracking issues. Your contributions will be essential in delivering Ground System Capabilities that support our space assets, making a significant impact on the missions we undertake.
