About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at BAE Systems involves supporting the Transition to Production, Production Support, and Sustainment team. The role focuses on the production and sustainment of complex digital, analog, and microwave circuit card assemblies and subsystems, providing opportunities for skill development under the guidance of subject matter experts. The position emphasizes collaboration within a diverse team to deliver quality products that support military operations.

Responsibilities

• Assessing design updates to existing circuit card assemblies
• Conducting circuit analyses to assess performance impacts
• Mentoring technicians
• Working with hardware suppliers
• Supporting product yield and affordability improvements
• Supporting the debug of complex circuits
• Supporting transition to production of new products
• Working in partnership with a cross functional team to ensure on time deliveries of quality products to support the War Fighter.

Requirements

• BSEE from an accredited College/University
• Able to research and apply electrical engineering principles and theories to solve electrical engineering problems
• Motivated self-starter with leadership potential and ability to effectively work in a team environment
• Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
• Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner and lead others to closure - Own the Design
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Nice-to-haves

• MSEE from an accredited College/University
• Active Secret Clearance HIGHLY PREFERRED
• 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience gathering and analyzing test data to assess trends and develop yield improvement plans
• CAD based schematic capture and simulation
