The Electrical Validation Engineer will play a crucial role in defining and executing electrical validation methodologies for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and various subsystems. This position requires collaboration with the system integration electrical engineering team and technology teams to ensure comprehensive validation coverage. The engineer will be responsible for developing and tracking detailed test plans for different modules and top-level systems, which include validation of System on Chip (SoC), low-speed signal interfaces such as I2C, I2S, and PDM, as well as high-speed differential interfaces. The role also encompasses the electrical performance validation of subsystems, including optical sensors, microphones, cameras, batteries, chargers, and RF components. In this position, the engineer will drive and execute validation efforts to meet key deadlines and priority goals. They will own the execution, interpretation, and reporting of electrical validation work status and results, ensuring that coverage metrics are tracked and any bugs encountered are documented and resolved. The engineer will also support system bring-up and debugging activities, clearly communicating test plans and results to relevant stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical system verification for consumer electronics, with at least 3 years of experience in defining validation test plans and executing electrical validation on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), electronic loads, power supplies, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and temperature chambers is essential. A solid understanding of board schematics and layouts, along with the ability to identify potential points of failure in the device under test (DUT), is also required. Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, and LabView for data processing and automation will be beneficial. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is mandatory, and the candidate should be self-motivated and a team player.
