About the position

As a Hardware Engineer II at Innoflight, you will play a crucial role in developing hardware solutions for spacecraft subsystems. This position involves leading analog, power, and embedded board-level design while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative products. You will also provide PCB design guidance and support high-speed interface development, contributing to cutting-edge technologies in the aerospace and defense sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analog, power, and embedded board-level design, including debugging and testing.
  • Provide guidance to internal PCB Design teams and external design services.
  • Interface with software, HDL, and mechanical design teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Develop specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), proposals, and user manuals.
  • Perform signal and power integrity simulation and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware design.
  • Expertise in embedded hardware design and high-speed interface design.
  • Knowledge of microprocessor architecture, programmable logic, and various memory types.
  • Experience with high-speed design rules for circuit boards and layout requirements.
  • Ability to create and review specifications, ICDs, proposals, and user manuals.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Hands-on experience in debugging and development of hardware systems.
  • Familiarity with space systems and multi-discipline programs.
