About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Hardware Engineer III for an opportunity in Menlo Park, CA. This position is focused on defining electrical validation methodologies for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and various subsystems, collaborating closely with the system integration electrical engineering team and technology teams. The Hardware Engineer III will be responsible for defining and tracking detailed test plans for different modules and top-level systems, ensuring comprehensive validation coverage that includes system-on-chip (SoC) components, low-speed signal interfaces (such as I2C, I2S, PDM), I/O signals, high-speed differential interfaces, and the electrical performance of subsystems including optical sensors, microphones, cameras, batteries, chargers, and RF components. The role requires driving and executing validation efforts to meet key deadlines and priority goals. The engineer will own the execution, interpretation, and reporting of electrical validation work status and results, while also keeping track of coverage metrics and any bugs encountered and fixed during the validation process. Additionally, the engineer will support system bring-up and debugging activities, ensuring clear communication of test plans and results to relevant stakeholders. This position is a contract role expected to last for 12 months, with a target start date of August 26, 2024. The pay range for this position is between $45.62 and $75.27 per hour, depending on various factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities.
