About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Summer 2025 Hardware Engineering Intern to join their Rotary and Mission Systems team in Littleton, Colorado. This internship offers an opportunity to work on a critical multi-year program within C4ISR, where the intern will contribute to the development of crucial hardware products in a dynamic and diverse team environment. The role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively on mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of hardware products for a critical program.
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team to solve engineering problems.
• Participate in hands-on machining and prototype builds.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or Science from an accredited college.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with CAD software tools.
• Hands-on machining experience.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with process definition and process improvements.
• Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Experience with prototypes or first article builds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
