The Hardware Engineer/Maintainer role is crucial for supporting the integration, operations, and maintenance of the Program Ground infrastructure. This position involves providing support to the hardware, network, communication, and antenna infrastructure within the Program. The engineer will be responsible for real-time problem resolution to minimize system downtime, which includes monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, restoring outages, performing maintenance, and tracking issues. Additionally, the role requires conducting or participating in the research, design, development, and testing of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or custom computing hardware and other electrical components. The Hardware Engineer/Maintainer will also develop designs for the installation of components and perform the integration of these components and assemblies into various setups, including chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and shelters. Planning, directing, reviewing, and coordinating the preparation of project documentation to ensure compliance with customer contracts and company requirements is also a key responsibility. The engineer will prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test reports, ensuring that all work is conducted in accordance with program processes. An active Secret security clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of professional experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and electrical components.
  • Experience installing components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, and workstations.
  • Experience preparing project documentation.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, restoring outages, and performing maintenance.
