About the position

At SandTech Solutions we are committed to "Enabling Success" of our client's missions. As such, we are searching for a mission critical Hardware Engineer to apply a Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC) and applicable patches to desktops and laptops on the NIPR and SIPR domains.

Responsibilities

  • Receive imaging requests via Remedy service request module.
  • Receive, inventory, verify, and sign for delivery of laptops and desktops against work order.
  • Download assets from pallet or container.
  • Place assets on imaging racks and connect to network interface (NIPR and SIPR).
  • Image 80+ assets daily and apply software patches.
  • Perform troubleshooting as required.
  • Update assets status, as required, in the Remedy imaging work order. Complete work orders after completion of the imaging request.
  • Perform quality control/quality assurance functions to ensure imaged assets meet standard configuration requirements.
  • Report imaging issues and individual work order status at the end of the day.
  • Repack assets into the appropriate shipping method at conclusion of imaging request.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Candidate must possess the ability and eligibility to gain access to a secured USG facility
  • Current Security+ certification
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years applying SDC configurations to desktops and laptops
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work onsite 100% of the time
  • This is a mission critical position. The selected individual must be able to work during local and national unplanned events
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualified exemption. In the event the candidate is selected and exempted from the vaccine requirement, the individual must continually produce negative COVID-19 test results from a qualified medical facility in accordance with applicable federal, Department of Defense, Air Force, contract, and base requirements.
