About the position

The Hardware Engineer, Level 1 position at Acclaim Technical Services involves providing hardware engineering expertise to analyze and design complex hardware systems. The role includes responsibilities such as hardware procurement, acceptance testing, maintenance support, and installation of hardware both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hardware engineering and a strong educational background in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex hardware systems and provide engineering expertise.
• Procure and perform acceptance testing on hardware equipment.
• Provide preventative and remedial hardware maintenance support.
• Deploy, install, and implement hardware at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Prepare specifications for hardware based on system requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare engineering plans and Technical Design Packages.
• Organize and direct hardware installations and document configurations.
• Prepare site installation and test reports, ensuring user requirements are met.
• Provide recommendations on existing and emerging hardware technologies.
• Contribute to system design by providing input on hardware components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Seven (7) + years of experience as a hardware engineer analyzing complex hardware systems.
• Current TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
