The Hardware Engineer PhD (Co-op) position at Cisco offers an opportunity for PhD students to engage in hardware engineering projects that impact product development from circuit design to large system design. Responsibilities

• Impact product development from circuit design to large system design.
• Contribute to large volume manufacturing processes.
• Engage in creative hardware engineering tasks including ASIC Design and Verification, System/Board Design, Circuit Board Layout, Hardware Automation, Validation and Test, Signal Integrity, and Power Design.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Science, Material Engineering, Applied Physics, Math, Physics or a related major.
• Proficient experience in hardware engineering areas such as ASIC Design and Verification, System/Board Design, Circuit Board Layout, Hardware Automation, Validation and Test, Signal Integrity, and Power Design.
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering fundamentals and technical analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work toward long-term goals.
