About the position

In this role, you will develop and integrate fabrication processes and hybridization/assembly components to support the quantum processor roadmap. The position involves collaboration with various teams to identify new capabilities, evaluate options, and drive development from concept through integration, including documentation maintenance and data analysis for yield improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop or support integration of wafer processes, including establishing process requirements, creating experimental plans, and coordinating development with partners.
  • Perform statistical analysis of inline process data and electrical test for both process and yield characterization.
  • Maintain documentation for new and existing components, including drawings, specifications, design rules, and application notes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with front and back end semiconductor wafer processing.
  • Experience with advanced packaging.
  • Experience with data analysis software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's of Science or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or related technical field.
  • Experience in statistical process control (SPC) and assessing manufacturability.
  • Experience with emerging technology process development, including superconducting devices, photonics, and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
