About the position

Celeris seeks a highly experienced and energetic Hardware Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Hardware Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of PARCS and UEWR assessment of systems and networks within the environments to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. The role involves performing electrical and mechanical (signal, power & thermal) analysis at the rack level, generating engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams, and custom cable assemblies. The Hardware Engineer will also analyze supplier LRUs, including step-file and 3D model review and compliance to specifications, and support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systems. Additionally, the engineer will participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues and interact with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems. Providing obsolescence support by identifying replacement components that meet or exceed defined requirements is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Generate engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams, and custom cable assemblies.
  • Analyze supplier LRUs, including step-file and 3D model review and compliance to specifications.
  • Support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systems.
  • Participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interacting and coordinating with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems.
  • Provide obsolescence support by identifying replacement components that meet or exceed defined requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and nine plus (9+) years' experience; Master's degree and seven plus (7+) years' experience; PhD or JD and four plus (4+) years' experience.
  • Experience in designing new or modifying existing products, developing technical specifications for production, analyzing hardware configuration and processing solutions, and testing hardware conformance to specifications.
  • Must hold secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
