As a Hardware Engineer specializing in SIGINT, you will be tasked with providing expert analysis and engineering support for complex hardware systems. Your role will involve a comprehensive understanding of hardware design, architecture, and network design, as well as addressing various technical hardware issues. You will be responsible for procuring equipment and conducting acceptance testing to ensure that all hardware meets the required specifications. Additionally, you will provide both preventative and remedial maintenance support for hardware systems, ensuring their optimal performance. Your responsibilities will extend to deploying, installing, and implementing hardware solutions both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). You will prepare detailed specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements, conduct site surveys, and prepare engineering plans along with Technical Design Packages. Organizing and directing hardware installations will be a key part of your role, as will configuring and documenting the setup of computers, networking devices, and various peripheral equipment. You will also be responsible for preparing site installation and test reports, ensuring that any identified problems are addressed with solutions that meet user requirements. Your expertise will contribute to the preparation of reports and recommendations regarding existing and emerging hardware technologies, and you will provide specific input to the hardware components of system design, which includes end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.
