About the position

The Power Electronics Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing motor control power electronics throughout the product development lifecycle. This entry-level position involves collaboration with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers to translate designs into production while providing technical guidance to support project schedules and product costs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop motor control power electronics from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure successful product integration.
  • Provide technical guidance to support project schedules and product costs.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and resources for design conception, analysis, testing, and verification.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, including Hardware, Software, Mechanical, and Application teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree with specialization in motor control electronics preferred.
  • 0-3+ years of experience in analog/digital circuit design and power electronics.
  • Proficiency with PSPICE circuit simulation software, PCB schematic capture, and layout tools.
  • Experience in designing Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) and Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuits.
  • Experience with microcontroller/DSP-based hardware development for motor control applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with designing electronics for HVAC or appliance industries.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as Cadence Allegro and Altium.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes and power supplies.
