About the position

The Electrical Hardware Engineer position at Thales in Irvine, CA, focuses on the design and development of electrical embedded hardware for aerospace applications. The role requires expertise in high-speed digital and analog design, as well as experience in avionics electrical design and compliance with DO-160 standards. The engineer will be responsible for the entire hardware design process, including testing and documentation, while utilizing advanced tools and methodologies in the aerospace domain.

Responsibilities

• Design and test embedded hardware for aerospace applications.
• Update and release documentation for various hardware design stages.
• Utilize advanced digital and analog test equipment for hardware validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in electrical embedded hardware design for high-speed digital and analog applications.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in the aerospace domain.
• Experience in embedded design, IP/Networking, voltage regulator power supply, and disk drive data storage.
• Proficiency in Product Data Management tools such as Team Center or similar.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Project, Outlook, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in avionics electrical design, development, and DO-160 qualification and documentation.
• Knowledge of embedded multicore systems.
