About the position

As a Hardware Engineer at our innovative and growing automation engineering and manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing control systems across various vertical markets, including airport baggage handling, government, freight and parcel, and warehouse distribution. This position requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, with a focus on creating efficient and reliable automation solutions. You will be responsible for interpreting customer specifications and translating them into functional designs, ensuring that all systems meet industry standards and regulations, including UL508A and NEC. In this role, you will work with minimal supervision to develop designs for Motor Control Panels (MCPs) that have been previously established, allowing you to leverage your expertise while contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems. Collaboration with the Supply Chain and Panel Shop teams will be essential, as you will provide support and guidance to ensure that all components are integrated seamlessly into the final product. Your ability to read and understand complex schematics and specifications will be vital in delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs. Responsibilities

  • Design control systems for various vertical markets including airport baggage handling, government, freight and parcel, and warehouse distribution.
  • Interpret customer specifications and implement designs accordingly.
  • Develop designs for Motor Control Panels (MCPs) with minimal supervision.
  • Provide support for Supply Chain and Panel Shop teams to ensure seamless integration of components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as UL508A and NEC.

Requirements

  • A.S. in Electrical Engineering minimum or B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Basic understanding of UL508A and NEC standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or ePlan is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand complex schematics and specifications.
