About the position

SAIC is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support the USMC at our customer site in Hanahan, SC. This role requires a highly motivated individual capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. The position involves oversight of fielding kits, integration of parts and equipment, and interaction with various project development facets.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of fielding kits, per written instructions.
• Integration of parts, cables, assemblies, and sensitive equipment.
• Interaction with project leads, government customers, procurement, drafting support, engineering support, and inventory support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Technology, or Computer Science.
• Two years of practical experience in Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR).
• Two years of experience in installation of C4ISR equipment.
• Four years of experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
• Two years of experience in C4ISR Projects discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and cable run sheets.
• Experience in assembling cables to specifications via cable run sheets and/or schematics.
• Knowledge of RF cable fabrication and fiber optic termination.
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of various electrical and mechanical tools.
• Experience in laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
• Ability to provide technical design support and prepare technical reports.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of radio systems is a bonus.
