About the position

The Hardware Engineer will provide expertise in analyzing and designing complex hardware systems, including hardware architecture and network design. The role involves procuring equipment, performing acceptance testing, and providing maintenance support. The engineer will also be responsible for deploying and implementing hardware both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS).

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex hardware systems and design hardware architecture.
• Procure and perform acceptance testing on hardware equipment.
• Provide preventative and remedial hardware maintenance support.
• Deploy, install, and implement hardware at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Prepare specifications for hardware based on system requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare engineering plans and Technical Design Packages.
• Organize and direct hardware installations across multiple sites.
• Configure and document configurations of computers and networking devices.
• Prepare site installation and test reports.
• Train site personnel in the proper use of hardware.
• Analyze hardware specifications and recommend hardware acquisitions.
• Prepare installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Fourteen (14) years of experience analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions is required.
• Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
