About the position

As a Hardware Engineer at Dexian, you will focus on the electrical design, simulation, and verification-validation testing of high-speed products in cable assemblies targeting high-speed communications within datacenters and wireless infrastructure. This role requires independent project work in hardware design and validation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute cutting-edge product designs. You will serve as the subject matter expert for electrical performance throughout the product development cycle, from initial analysis to prototype fabrication and production verification testing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in high-speed data, electronics design, simulation, and validation activities throughout product development cycles.
  • Establish electrical design performance and functional requirements for new products.
  • Develop high-speed cable assemblies from conception to manufacturing.
  • Conduct component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, and product validation testing.
  • Create actionable recommendations based on design reviews and simulation results.
  • Make data-driven decisions regarding product functionality and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a high-speed hardware engineering role.
  • Proficiency in electronic design and analysis tools such as Altium PCB, ADS, Ansys Designer, and Ansys HFSS.
  • Experience with cable/cable assembly designs, including high-speed twin-ax cables and direct attach copper (DAC) cables.
  • Familiarity with high-speed test equipment like Digital Sampling Oscilloscope and Vector Network Analyzer.
  • Knowledge of signal conditioning techniques such as equalization and amplification.
  • Experience in component selection, schematic capture, and printed circuit board design.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret simulation and lab data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with embedded systems and ANSI C.
  • Knowledge of SFF/IEEE specifications for high-speed cable assemblies.
  • Experience with PAM4/8 and other higher-order modulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies or strong data analytics background.
