About the position

The Hardware Engineer position at Sentar involves supporting the testing and fielding of Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Engineering Changes on Navy platforms. The role focuses on the verification, integration, and operational validation of remote broadcast manager systems, as well as supporting fleet experimentation and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the test and fielding of GBS Engineering Changes onboard Navy platforms
• Support the verification, integration, and operational validation of variant remote broadcast manager (RBM) and associated baseline
• Support the Trellix Endpoint Security Solution (ESS)
• Assist in fleet experimentation involving GBS and internal lab configuration management

Requirements

• 5 years of technical experience
• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering
• Experience integrating Global Broadcast Service hardware and software
• Experience with Global Broadcast Service fielding and sustainment support
• Experience with Test and Evaluation of Global Broadcast Service and Split Internet Protocol systems
• Experience performing test and evaluation of software on Windows 10, Windows 7, and RedHat Enterprise Linux systems
• Experience working in computer lab environments
• Experience with Shipboard Networks such as CANES and ISNS
• Experience with test and evaluation of internet networking protocols including multicast, unicast, and broadcast data
• Technical writing experience
