About the position

As a Hardware Engineer at Align Technology, you will play a pivotal role in exploring and developing new technologies for future products and features. This position is integral to the team, which is responsible for taking concepts from initial design through prototyping and into mass production. The environment is collaborative and hands-on, fostering engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation. You will be expected to leverage your strong electrical engineering fundamentals, particularly in analog and digital circuit design, along with your expertise in signal processing. In this role, you will design, develop, and test hardware components such as processors, circuit boards, memory devices, and wireless communications. You will be tasked with designing and simulating analog and digital circuits for various subsystems and modules, performing circuit analysis including noise analysis, signal integrity, and power consumption. Your responsibilities will also include applying advanced signal processing techniques to optimize algorithms for real-time data acquisition, filtering, and conditioning on embedded platforms. You will prototype and debug hardware designs, iterating as necessary to meet design goals, and develop test plans and procedures for hardware verification and validation. Conducting thorough testing and analysis to ensure designs meet specifications and performance requirements will be a key part of your job. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to integrate hardware designs into the overall system architecture, manage trade-offs, and resolve technical issues. Additionally, you will support product manufacturing by debugging issues during production and providing technical guidance, while also creating detailed specifications, test results, and design changes. Ensuring safety standards are met and maintaining knowledge of current technological advances in hardware development will be essential to your success in this role.
