The Applied R&D Engineer conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and incremental improvement of products, services, systems, tools, processes, etc. This role is integral to the Digital Hardware (DHA) subfamily, which focuses on the specification, design, and implementation of digital hardware, particularly baseband hardware. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that design targets such as low cost, high yield, and high reliability are met. The digital boards designed will be high-density boards with numerous components, including high-speed connections and high-precision reference clocks. This position requires a strong understanding of both digital and analogue design, as well as simulation capabilities. In this role, you will engage in ultra high-speed PCB circuit design, simulation, and design verification testing. The position demands self-starters who can manage complex board design from concept through to release for production. You will collaborate with a highly motivated team of engineering professionals and will be personally responsible for driving your designs and PCBs through the entire process. A working knowledge of all aspects of board bring-up, debugging, and testing in a hardware lab environment is essential. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that meet specific requirements and specifications, contributing to the development of cutting-edge technology that impacts people's lives positively.
