About the position

As a Hardware Engineering Lead at Lockheed Martin, you will oversee a team of hardware designers, guiding them from the Critical Design Review (CDR) through to the final U.S. Army approval for the new IGS design to be integrated into PAC-3 Production. This role involves managing cost, schedule, and technical performance while collaborating with various teams to achieve project objectives. You will be part of a dynamic environment, contributing to advanced technology systems that support military and aerospace applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of hardware designers from CDR through final U.S. Army approval for the new IGS design to PAC-3 Production.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance as the Hardware Design CAM.
  • Oversee missile integration, hardware-in-the-loop integration, qualification testing, flight testing, and configuration audits.
  • Collaborate with Software Design, Test Design, Production Operations, Global Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Integration Test & Evaluation teams.
  • Travel to customer and supplier sites as required, both domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Extensive experience in electrical hardware design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry.
  • Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with troubleshooting Analog and Digital Electronics.
  • Experience leading failure investigation, root cause and corrective action.
  • Working knowledge of lab equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, DMM, signal Generators, spectrum analyzers.
  • Certified or working knowledge of Control Account Management (CAM).
  • Previous Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and Production readiness testing experience.
