About the position

The Hardware Engineering Manager at Brilliance Cyber Systems INC is responsible for leading the Hardware Wearable Product Validation Team. This role combines technical expertise in hardware engineering with leadership skills to oversee testing and validation activities for innovative wearable technology products. The manager will ensure that products meet quality, functionality, and reliability standards while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and validation specialists.
  • Manage and oversee the team's performance, including setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement training plans for team skill enhancement.
  • Review and contribute to comprehensive validation strategies for wearable hardware products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise validation from the proto phase.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of validation plans, protocols, and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with product development and validation.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing infrastructure and tools.
  • Collaborate with the software team to develop automated testing scripts and frameworks.
  • Supervise the design and execution of testing to identify potential issues in product designs.
  • Drive the team to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues during validation.
  • Ensure all product issues are documented and addressed prior to product launch.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve validation techniques to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and state-of-the-art validation tools and technologies.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and quality assurance to align validation activities with product timelines.
  • Communicate validation results and insights to stakeholders and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in leading large scale teams.
  • Proven experience in hardware product testing and validation, preferably with wearable technologies.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and product development processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in using validation tools and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Expertise in functional domains such as Audio, Camera, Display, Connectivity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
