About the position

The Hardware Engineering Program Manager (HW EPM) will lead a multi-functional team of skilled Electrical and Mechanical engineers, managing and communicating cross-functional issues and risks. This role is crucial for the successful execution of new product system builds, combining technical expertise with program management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds with full ownership of system-level flexes and boards.
• Lead multi-functional engineering team meetings to discuss design scope, set timelines, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Collaborate and facilitate feedback between teams through the internal design review process.
• Ensure factory readiness by driving build timelines, tracking progress, and coordinating material delivery schedules for final assembly and team distribution.
• Set and communicate clear objectives for the build schedule, acting as the primary point of contact for the program with Contract Manufacturer (CM) partners.
• Drive issue resolution and deliveries with global suppliers, managing parallel schedules towards convergence.
• Monitor key checkpoints, ensuring on-time delivery while proactively mitigating unforeseen risks.

Requirements

• BS engineering degree required
• 1-4+ years of project management experience
• Experience and familiarity with SMT process, PCB design, schematic, and layout

Nice-to-haves

• Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering (EE)
• Masters in Engineering is a plus
• 2-4+ years of project management experience with experience in working with CM partners
• Detailed knowledge of product development cycles & strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills
• Highly disciplined in workflow, process, and staying organized on priority tasks
• Superior attention to detail with a strong commitment to rigor and excellence
• Ability to manage complex build matrices and build planning through complex schedules
• Self motivated and proactive with creative and critical thinking capabilities
• Ability to travel internationally to support builds
