Micron Technology is seeking a Hardware/Firmware Security Engineer to join our team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for building high-performance controller firmware for both volatile and non-volatile memory systems. Your work will involve evaluating, creating, building, bench testing, debugging, and conducting failure analyses of firmware for new high-performance memory controllers and Solid State Drives (SSD). The goal is to enhance performance while minimizing power consumption, latency, and the complexity of the System on Chip (SoC) for targeted sectors. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to address multi-functional product development challenges, prioritize failures, file bug reports, and assist development teams in isolating issues. As a Firmware Engineer, you will also track and resolve security firmware issues or ensure their transfer to subsequent design phases. You will function as an authority in secure product development, assessing and mitigating vulnerabilities in Micron products. Your responsibilities will include reviewing security mechanisms and the security architecture of products to ensure robust protection against potential threats. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of security and reliability.
