About the position

The Hardware Penetration Tester role involves assessing the security of embedded systems and hardware designs. The position requires expertise in hardware hacking tools and techniques, as well as a strong foundation in reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the security of embedded systems and hardware designs.
  • Utilize hardware hacking tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Reverse engineer firmware and analyze binary code for vulnerabilities.
  • Evaluate cryptographic implementations and identify potential side-channel attacks.
  • Analyze circuit board designs for common hardware vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware design.
  • Experience with hardware hacking tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscope, logic analyzers).
  • Proficiency in reverse engineering firmware and analyzing binary code.
  • Familiarity with cryptographic implementations and side-channel attacks.
  • Knowledge of circuit board design and common hardware vulnerabilities.
