About the position

The Product Manager at Vivint Smart Home is responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle, ensuring products operate at peak performance, and innovating to enhance user experience. This role involves collaborating with various teams, presenting to upper management, and driving product strategy to meet customer needs and business viability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor KPIs and recommend improvements for product performance.
• Innovate on products to enhance user experience and reduce costs.
• Develop and rally team members around a shared vision and product strategy.
• Contribute to and execute yearly roadmaps for product development.
• Own the product lifecycle from inception to launch.
• Present regularly to stakeholders in upper management.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure product opportunities are valuable, viable, and user-friendly.
• Write clear and concise product documents to secure investment for development.
• Build and maintain relationships across Vivint at various organizational levels.
• Identify opportunities for customer testing and drive execution while measuring results.
• Partner with Marketing to prepare business cases and support product launches.
• Pursue product and industry knowledge, identifying trends and opportunities.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of product management experience.
• Proficient in technical writing.
• Confident in presenting to large groups.
• Ability to identify root causes of problems and lead others in problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
• Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Capable of creating plans from ambiguous problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Hardware experience (preferred but not required).
• Relevant work experience with defining and delivering consumer products and/or services.
• Open to feedback and eager to learn.
