About the position

As a Hardware Product Manager at Anduril Industries, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture of your product while serving as the primary liaison to the engineering development organization. Your position will require you to engage consistently with various teams across the company, ensuring that you are well-versed in both the current state of the product and the technical and operational factors that define its architecture and vision. You will be responsible for establishing key milestones and targets that will help define the product roadmap, necessitating a deep understanding of how different teams are impacted at various stages of the product's engineering development. Your efforts will ensure that teams are engaged at the appropriate times and product maturity stages, creating a roadmap that serves as a reference for planning across the organization. In addition to roadmap development, you will evaluate and prioritize tasks essential for supporting product development efforts. As a data-driven decision-maker, you will gather inputs from various stakeholders to ensure that your decisions are well-informed and executable. Your role will also involve executing a variety of tasks to keep the product on track, filling any gaps necessary to mitigate risks associated with the roadmap. Effective communication of strategy and vision to stakeholders will be crucial, as you will need to manage expectations and address risks with adequate time and resources. Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with teams including design engineering, finance, logistics, EHS, manufacturing, engineering testing, legal, technical operations, and business strategy/programs. Your ability to navigate these cross-functional relationships will be essential for the success of the product and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Represent and help build the product's culture as a liaison to the engineering development organization.
  • Establish key milestones and targets to define the product roadmap.
  • Evaluate and prioritize tasks required to support product development efforts.
  • Execute various tasks to ensure the product stays on track and de-risk the roadmap.
  • Communicate strategy and vision to stakeholders to manage expectations and address risks.
  • Collaborate closely with teams including design engineering, finance, logistics, EHS, manufacturing, engineering testing, legal, technical operations, and business strategy/programs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in hardware or integrated product development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Aptitude for working with internal and external stakeholders across a wide range of technical areas
  • Comfort working with data and complex analyses
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Nice-to-haves

  • Defense, national security, or aerospace domain familiarity through industry or education
  • Experience with or interest in working with visual design tools to communicate ideas
